Maturing our whisky for 12 years, our malt master adds even warmer richer flavours by uniquely finishing this single malt in first fill bourbon barrels that once contained whisky from the Caribbean. The whisky-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through.

The dark-brown cola color, with a ruby hue virtually opaque both in the bottle and the glass, is due to a healthy amount of caramel coloring added after distillation and done to represent the black ink spewed by the mythical Kraken sea monster
DABANO GOLD tequila brands are double distilled from Mexican Blue Agave in Copper Pot Stills. As well each of the brands will contain some distillate from the juice of agave which has been crushed in the traditional method with a two ton Tahona millstone.
DABANO GOLD tequila spirits are not made from 100% blue agave which means that they are referred to in the industry as “Mixto”. A Mixto tequila must have at least 51% of its volume made from blue agave distillate, but the other 49% can be distilled from other non agave sugars. Mixto is also subject to less stringent regulation with respect to additives such as sugar syrup and caramel.
DABANO BLANCO tequila is a great tequila to gather around too, with a wonderfully distinct flavor profile that’s at once sweet and complex. Notes of rich honey and caramel are balanced with hints of tropical fruit and a touch of floral and spice. The tequila goes down smooth and silky, with just enough bite to keep things interesting.
